A clear brown beer with a thick frothy collapsing brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, light roasted notes, OK. In mouth, a sweet cloying caramel malt with light roasted notes, sweet and cloying, not my thing. Can from Hypermaxi, La Paz.

Negra. Espuma ocre. Aroma plano. Sabor malteado, pero extraordinariamente dulce, pura azucar. No tnego claro si es cerveza. Desde luego si solo existiera esta en el mundo yo no estaria escribiendo esto ahora.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Nice appearance with lingering head and a dark brown body, plenty of carbonation visible. Aroma is very soft malts and coffee. Flavour is intense low-alcohol sweetness with a sugary finish. Surprisingly this contains alcohol, which is a huge hit as it would work much better as a zero alcohol drink.

Bottle at the DC Expanded Sour Tasting. Shared by nimbleprop, thanks! Poured a dark brown sugar, lots of sweet roasted malt, some sugar. Taste is about the same. Not great, but not awful.

Had this years ago while living in Bolivia. It is not meant for drinking - meaning personal joy - it’s used as a tonic for the ill, weak and hangovered. I think, it’s enriched with vitamins and minerals, tastes also like medicine. The ladies preparing fresh juices at the markets make fortifying shakes with it, for example mixed with an egg. In the end, it’s impossible to rate this beer in terms of an enjoyable drink because it was never meant to be.

In looking at the comments made by other people, I can tell they don’t realize this beer we use in Bolivia as a dessert beer or pre-meal drink (such as having a wine glass before a meal). If they want a buzz from this beer they will not get any.
