A contract brew, god knows why they serve it at their establishments, but I nabbed a sample complete with lime wedge at the Lake Geneva location. It was pretty awful with plenty o corn and mineral water.

Iíve said it before and Iíll say it again.. Thanks to Bob for the bottle! Poured clear, bright golden with a dusting of white head. The aroma picked up wet grains, dishwashing detergent powder, and dry honey for the most part.. nothing about this said "Drink Me!". The flavor was a touch better, but barely.. tartness of unknown origin hit the tip of the tongue and rode all the way through the drink.. wet grains and honey again at the core.. sticky, prickly alcohol, salt, and mild woody bitterness around.. actually lasted a while on the unpleasant finish. Light-bodied, but tacky in several places on the palate.. nothing that was showcased here was any good.. yikes!

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Bottle. Light yellow/straw pour with a minimal white head. Aroma is bread dough and slight corn, and something kind of skunky. Light palate. Taste is slightly better than the aroma - also some bread dough and corn. Not very good.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at the Sprecher brewery north of Milwaukee, WI. Pours a clear golden straw colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin white ring and film top. Aroma of golden grain malt, a hint of corn, some grassy hops and a touch of butter. Taste is light bodied, flavors of golden grain malt, corn husk, and a touch of salt. Finish is crisp, a hint of grassy hops, a touch of honey and some subdued bitterness that quickly disappears. A touch better than the regular macro produced lagers.

Bottle. A slightly hazy bronze gold colored brew with a thin white head. The nose has dough, corn and some sweet apples. The taste is fairly sweet, like watered down apple juice with hints of lemons. There is also some light dough. Bland overall, this one is possibly infected, but I notice all the other rates state the same flavors. Just a strange one.

Straw color with a diminishing white head. Scents of lightly toasted grains and a bit of grassy hops. Light sweetness. Some pale malt, light bitterness, and salt. A bit watery.

Courtesy of Skyview. Pale yellow color with a medium head. Light corn and grain aroma. Much the same for taste. Light bodied. Corn intensifies.

Odd sweet maltiness in aroma, almost artificial. The flavor is sweet and funky, with a bit of spice. Strange idea for an ale, not the worst, but could be a lot better.

Straw yellow with a medium soapy white head. Aroma of corn, grains and malt. Thin bodied brew tastes like a corn tortilla with some sweet malt and light lemon. Semi dry finish with too much freaking corn.

This is one of those beers where i think maybe it might have been "better" put into context. That is if there is a "context". Is this supposed to be some sort of a re-creation of a historical style of beer from Mexico? Is there at very least some president for calling this beer "Mexican Style" outside of the fact that it is contract brewed for a Mexican super market? I donít know.

The beer pours a golden color with a big white head.

The aroma is faint, but gets a little bit more pronouced as the beer warms. Generally is smells like corn flour with a little bit of fruit thatís starting to get a little funky.

The flavor holds this weird love hate thing with me, itís weird, and sort of funky, salty, kind of tart, but corny and kind of Malt liquor-y. Itís like if you mixed some Corona, some Gose, and some Olde English 800 together. I like the Gose-y elements fine enough.

Totally weird but somehow not totally offensive.
