Two-row malt, meet Nelson Sauvin and Citra. Fast friends indeed. As sleek as a 9% DIPA can be with the sharp hop tone of lemon peels filled in by orange marmalade and just utter dankness. And you thought those tankers off-shore were just unloading crude... 2 pounds of dry hops per barrel. That’s right.

Man this stuff is killer, just killer. Poured with a huge thick and fluffy cream colored head that lasts forever, lots of lace and a clear amber color. Aroma’s caramel malt and hops. Flavor is the absolute perfect combination of hop flavor bitterness malt sweetness & flavor and carbonic tang. Perfect body. Can drink this beer till the cows come home or you pass out. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: Pours a hazy yellow gold. Visible rising carbonation. A top sits a retaining white film.

Aroma: Huge fruity nose. Tangerine, grape juice, touch of pine, guava.

Taste: More fruity goodness. Tangerine, orange, grapefruit. Bone dry malt. Bitterness only hits the middle of my tongue.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Modest carbonation.

Overall: Delicious, addictive, dry, hoppy as fuck. I think of all of ESBC’s beers, this is my favorite. Hit me stronger than a 9% beer, but maybe because I drank it too fast.

22oz bottle pours a slightly hazy pale brown color with a bit of head. Lots of hops that have a little bitter harshness and the alcohol is noticeable.

Amber orange with a smallish head and very nice lace. Big citrusy hop aromas - mostly grapefruit, orange and mango - with a hint of biscuity malt. Flavor is similar as hop bitterness is huge up front. A bit more of a supporting role from the bready/biscuity malt sweetness to offset the bitterness. Medium bodied, minimal carbonation, creamy mouthfeel and a lingering resinous hop finish.

Bomber purchased at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa ($7.97). Pours a hazy burnt orange hue with one finger of white foam. AROMA of peach, overripe melon (honeydew?), sweet citrus, honey malts, and some tropical fruit notes. FLAVOR of sweet mandarin orange, moderate pine, peach / apricot, biscuity caramel malts, with some noticeable alcohol at the end. Not particularly bitter overall, with nicely balanced sweetness as well. This is an altogether well-made DIPA, though I was a little disappointed with the perceptible alcohol. (35, 882)

22 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a medium frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet melon and tropical fruity hops and some caramel malts.

The flavor is sweet melons and caramel malt with a big piney hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a nice fruity piney DIPA.
