Draft. Piney aroma with some melon. Flavors of mango and melon, maybe a bit of pineapple juice, with some hazelnuts and chocolate backbone to keep it from becoming sweet. Little bit of a high-register burn near the finish, not astringent or alcohol, more kind of sucking-on-a-pine-coney. Complex, crisp. Superb.

Keg at Stone Liberty Station, SD, 13/11/14. Golden with a decent off white head. Nose is citric sherbets, floral notes, light straw, grapefruit. Taste comprises citric rinds, orange pith, grapefruit, tangerine, grassy notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a hoppy wash. Decent IPA.

Nice pungent aroma; super clear and clean looking orange/dark yellow. Taste is crisp and bitter with a tad bit of citrus fruits. Easy to drink and right in my ABV zone at 7.1. Now I need to try Hop Tanker......

Bomber from Bine & Vine. 7.1% ABV Pours light copper with a white head. Aroma is floral and South Pacific fruits (or melon) with some indications of dankness. I call dank. Also lots of melon (or mango?), one of the green flesh melons? With some earth and resin, lots of fruit/floral. Lots of flavors. Some hop burn. Finishing lush, fruity, pretty dry, very hoppy, and decently bitter. Good stuff.

Tap at Toronado SD. Quick rate. Floral nose that I haven’t gotten from this newish hop--lilacs--with a slightly cheesy passion fruit that seems typical of this hop (like I’m used to). Not much in the way of malt until a bit of honey in toward the finish, which was dry. Bitterness peaked at a 3. Mod carbonation with a light body. Tasty!

Clear golden orange, two-finger bright white head and nice lace. Aromas of tropical fruit - pineapple, banana, mango - with a touch of pine and earth. Big hop bitterness up front offset by a rich yet subtle bready malt. Bitterness comes back strong and dominates the finish. Medium body, highly effervescent, creamy mouthfeel and a wonderful lingering bitterness. Terrific.

Pours a dark gold amber color with a medium head. It has a some pine and tropical fruits on the nose. Taste has some mangos, pineapples and bitterness on the finish. Good beer.

Bomber purchased at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA ($6.37). Pours a hazy golden orange with two fingers of creamy white foam with good retention. AROMA is not particularly strong but has notes of passionfruit, spruce, and lighter notes of citrus and herby hops. FLAVOR of peach, sweet-ish citrus, "Champagne" (Ataúlfo) mango, apricot, honey and caramel malts, and some pine. Low to moderate bitterness with a solid balancing malt backbone. The 7.1% ABV is well concealed. My first rating for this newer brewery and I will be looking for more of their stuff. (18, 880)
