Draught @ Festival of Dankness, San Diego, CA. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a firm white head. Aroma of strong weed-y hoppiness, mild graininess, grapefruit and herbs. Flavour of crisp and juicy bitterness, herbs, tart grapefruit, mild sweetness and gooseberries. Medium bodied. Dry and crisp.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bomber picked up at Bine and Vine pours with a crystal clear pure gold body that supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting clementine, tangelo and pink grapefruit citrus with murmurs of mango and cantaloupe and spicy earthy dankness in the background. Pretty solid. The taste begins with a flood of hoppiness that is largely bittering hops but the mild malts and malt sweetened juicy citrus hoppiness is well played here. Like the nose I get a blend of tangelo and clementine to go along with some pine hop bitterness and then faint earthy tea to earthy onion spicy dankness. There’s a pleasing load of bitterness hear and this makes me happy.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
this was a few weeks older than the Hammerland, and it showed. Nice use of the hops - tropical fruits, citrus and kiwi - it had just started to fade. Would probably love this brewery fresh.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance was clear gold with lasting creamy whitish 1 1/2 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are citrus, tropical and stone fruits with soft pale sweetness. Taste is tangerine, orange, and grapefruit upfront then soft malt sweet backing mid sip. The soft pine resin, gooseberry, peach finish. Palate was smooth creamy CO2 with medium body, a lasting slightly sticky balanced IPA finish. Overall an excellent IPA, try it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared bomber poured to snifters, showing a hazed, orangey gold color, with a modest layer of off white head foam that diminished expeditiously to a bubbly ring & film, and deposited some light spots & streaks of lacing on the glass. The nose was dank & earthy, with resinous scent, and esters as grapefruit, pineapple, and some pit fruit. The esters continued a bit less expressively as the taste included a dry and lingering bitterness that was resinous & earthy. A little fuller than medium in body, with decent, accompanying carbonation, and alcohol backing. A solid, single hop IPA.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a light orange and coppper color with a light citrus and floral aroma. Taste is a bit like springtime, with a smooth easy grass taste that coats the tongue. Fruit flavors of grapefruit and apricot are evident throughout.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle and served in tulip: Pretty golden hue topped by a lasting head but strangely not much lace. Tropical fruit esters and leafy dankness with a mostly clean malt presence. Not to say however that I wasn’t hoping for a more juicy aroma considering what they claimed about the beer. Okay mouthfeel, nothing special. At least this one isn’t a drain pour but methinks I will be reaching for something malty later.

Bomber from thomashall. Light clear amber with a nice frothy white head that settles to a thin film. Some fresh grapefruit, orange, bit of grass, light maltiness, moderate+ carbonation and moderate body, bitter, somewhat dry, some booze notes at the finish.
