COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for Rob’s dog, the White alludes to our use of 50% wheat instead of barley in this beer. Aside from that though, this beer has very little in common with what most people consider a “wheat” beer. The wheat in the malt bill gives the beer a lighter texture and mouthfeel, and helps to accentuate the bright citrus characters of the fruity West Coast and New Zealand hops we use. The result is an IPA that Hop Heads will love, but that is immediately approachable for most people.

On tap at 10 East - I’ve never had a chance to enjoy a beer from El Segundo Brewing and this was a really nice way to get introduced to this brewer. A beer built around a solid hop profile is always ok with me. A strong citrus start, some light cat piss and pine needles. The flavor has a touch of onion-like character to it, but digging a little more there’s plenty of citrusy bitterness found in each sip. There is an even malt bill keeping time with the hops, but I would have never guessed it was 50% wheat. What a refreshing beer.

OK IPA not too big in aroma, a little phenolic. Thin palate. it was really carbonated. Lemon notes and grainy malts.

2 finger very creamy thick white head. Insanely cloudy yellow. Nose is light peppercorn and yeasty with a touch of lime. Creamy mouthfeel very close to melted milk shake. Bitterness is intense in the middle to end. Lots of herbal notes. Spicy at the statt. Maybe a little woody. Sublte peach and citrus undertones.

Venice ale house, Venice: pours pale yellow and cloudy. Aroma is lemon, pine, bubblegum. Taste is slightly bitter. It is on the fruity side of IPAs, but the wheat cuts in even further into what you expect from the style. Not bad.

Pours an opaque yellow color with a slight citrus aroma. Taste is peppery and leaves a lasting coriander film on the palate. Light lemon flavor, only exception is this beer is too thin.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2014 On draft. Unusual wheat IPA: More of a milk chocolatey malt finish than is usual in the style. Hop profile is citrus and pine. Super mix, killer beer.

Poured from a bottle. Very cloudy gold. White head, little lacing. Sweetness in the aroma, but I can't put my finger on it. Very strange taste, unlike any IPA I've ever had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
