COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for Rob’s dog, the White alludes to our use of 50% wheat instead of barley in this beer. Aside from that though, this beer has very little in common with what most people consider a “wheat” beer. The wheat in the malt bill gives the beer a lighter texture and mouthfeel, and helps to accentuate the bright citrus characters of the fruity West Coast and New Zealand hops we use. The result is an IPA that Hop Heads will love, but that is immediately approachable for most people.

Nice mild IPA. Can’t quite pick up any wheat or grain taste but this is solid and very nice. Will try it again for sure.

Appearance: Pours an amber orange with a film of white swirls.

Aroma: Danky hop, pine peach mango.

Taste: Citrus like hops. Dry malt. Spicy. Almost sculpin like.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied, somewhat juicy. Rough carbonation.

Overall: To put this in perspective, I’m hard on the LA craft scene and dead set against the White IPA fad going on right now. With all that said, this beer is amazing. Not wheaty at all, and exactly what I’m looking for in a west coast IPA. This is a promising sign from a 1 year old brewery.

We have on draft at Rock N Fish in Manhattan Beach. Very clean IPA with mild after taste. Sells very well. Goes quite well with white fish and majority of the salads. Overall a nice, interesting beer.

Pours cloudy orange with a pillowy head like a nice wheat ale. Great piny citrusy aroma. Nice flavor with none of the yeasty flavors from the appearance. Nice hop bitter finish and very smooth.

On tap. Pours with a very lightly hazed golden body with a small white head that leaves decent lace. Aromas are of citrus, tamarind, tropical fruit, pineapple, with mild grainy and caramel notes. Flavors are mildly sweet and a bit grainy with a medium bitterness. Pine, light citrus, melon, strawberry, tropical fruit. Mild esters. Lighter carbonation, medium, slightly chewy body, with a dry finish.

On tap @ Mohawk Bend in LA. A gold color with a white head and a lot of lacing. Smells citrusy with a bit of the wheat and some malt. It has a nice hoppy flavor and the wheat adds some crispness to it.
