Off the tap with a finger and half of tan head. Looks great. The aroma was cocoa, and earthy oats and hops with other grain. taste had roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, licorice and a bit of a sweet note in the middle to end. enjoyable.

Off the nitrotap with a finger and half of tan head on a black body. Looks great. The aroma was faint overall. Just a little smell of oats and other grain. The taste had roasted malt, coffee and a bit of a sweet note in the middle to end. A little odd. The texture was fairly smooth with low carbonation. I thought with the nitro it would have been smoother and the taste was not quite all together, but it was still enjoyable.

Dark brown pour with a khaki head. Roasted malt, cocoa, and earthy hops. Somewhat watery, but a bit of coffee, licorice, and a mild acidity. The flavor is kind of bland and watery. Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and a light earthiness. A bit of coffee grounds and licorice, too.

Tap. Pours opaque black with a fizzy tan head that dissipates with some lacing. Aroma is chocolate with strong coffee and whiskey notes. Flavor is coffee dominated, dark roasted malts, whiskey notes, and a medium coffee bitter finish. Very nice beer, particularly for its ABV.
