Deep orange good head, strong malty nose with plenty of toasty aromas and a hint of dry, almost fuggly straw aroma. Spiky carb, a tangy orangey oil rips through the malty smoothness. And really dries the crap out of the tongue finishing with some herby notes. It’s a little stiff.

12 oz Bottle from Bier Stein in Eugene. Stoked on this one! Always nice when you find a decently done DIPA these days (in the world of so many beers). Nice citrusy floral hopped aroma, slightly sugary malt hint. Big grapefruit, pineapple, and orangey explosion on the palate. Backed by a tender and thick resiny malt. Damn good stuff...wish I could find this more places!

Bottle:   Deep golden, large foamy white head, nice lacing.   Soft and sweet hop nose, a little earthy too.   Not real biting on the tongue, hops seem a little stale.   Sweetness doesn’t translate.   Seems a bit musty too, some damp basement notes.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes with a bit of rind, but not sweet like I would expect.   Its a bit acidic.   Tiz okay, but not complex or sweet/malty enough.

Bottle - batch 1487, 7.73% ABV. Pours cloudy amber with tons of carbonation and a massive foamy head. Aroma is sweet with pronounced caramel malt. The flavor follows suit: excessively malty and very sweet. Somewhere beneath all the sweetness some piney hop flavor is detectable. I wish the bottle were dated, because this could very well be an old bottle.

Bottle. Red orange pour. Thick lasting white head. Much lacing. Floral and citrusy aroma. Full bodied, flavour is well balanced hop. Hop character is pronounced but not overwhelming. Tangerine finish.

Pours a cloudy orange with thin white head. Piney hop aroma. Some sweetness. Some yeastiness. Dry hoppy finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours copper with a creamy off-white yellowish head. Aroma is sort of herby pine. Med+ body. Flavor is fairly pure pine over a very smooth caramel backbone. V. gd.

Bottle from Star Grocery, Berkeley. Pours dark golden with an attractive off-white head and a delightful floral pine aroma. There is a carbonated caramel malt flavor with an excellent hop profile that is puckeringly sour yet tasty.
