This beer is hot! Interesting but really just a novelty. No depth of flavor. Rubbery phenols. I mixed it with the Deuce and it improved it somewhat. A must try though. Lacks fresh chile flavor. This coming from a hot sauce fanatic.

Clear golden, and aroma is like honey and strawberry. Taste is palate-killing heat with a sweet fruity edge, but drink this way last if you want to taste anything else. $4/3oz ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Apex with mcberko, pours a clear golden yellow / orange with no head. Aroma of jalapenos, chillis, soapy and floral notes. Flavour of aniseed, chilli, soap, floral notes and feet. Way too spicy for my taste, but nice gimmick. Leaves a continual burning sensation like a good curry - that doesn’t subside. Mouthwatering. Not for the faint-hearted. Barely drinkable but I like the concept.

On tap at Apex in Portland, split with Matts_Property, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of hot, hot chilis / jalapenos - not much else. I was not prepared for what came next. Flavour is massively intense with hot, hot, hot, hot chilis / jalapenos. Don’t have much more than a small sip of this if you want to retain your taste buds! Quite the experience for sure.

Wowzer. Had this in a pair with a glass of chocolate stout. Which is perfect. This is a beer you want to dip your toe into once in a while - a little sip here and there. Then sit back and feel the burn. The aroma is of fresh chili flesh and it has a fruity note in the mouth but this is all about the fire. Glorious and well-judged, it is a real treat.
