bottle from bytemesis, the flaked oats are a huge part of this beer, the cocoa is starting to become acidic almost, so drink up if you got it. definitely drinkable and easy thin body for 5.5%

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown coloured body with a very thin tan head that fades super fast. Aroma of alcohol, grapes, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and a hint of spice. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grape, raisin, pear and light chocolate flavours with a very mild sour note, some yeast flavours and a hint of caramel. Aftertaste shows some light earthy malt with a hint of metal, a lot of grape and raisin flavours and a little chocolate note at the end. Overall, a good sweet stout, on the thin side, but a nice flavoured and relatively light beer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 25-April-2013 for US$2.38 sampled at home in Washington on 20-June-2013.
