Pours a dark dark brown, small tan head. Aroma of bitter chocolate and coffee. Flavor is similar, with creamy malt rounding out the flavor. Palate is slick and oily. Thanks to Beerguy101 for this one!

opaque as best as i can tell. head is light brown and lasting...gorgeous looking minx of a beer! aroma is heavy on the cocoa, moderate on the roast, with some vanilla notes. flavor is light to medium-bodied, with light vanilla and cola along with the requisite cocoa and roast. thanks Mitch!

THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT AN OATMEAL THAT FREAKS ME OUT...but it wasn’t have bad...not as good as everyone say but not so bad. It reminded me of bakers chocolate with a moalty nose.

This brew is all about chocolate, a choclate malt aroma, an almost chocolate soda taste, and pretty much chocolate on the aftertaste, the only complaint is that its a little thin

Yum. This was great. Pours almost black with a tan head. Nose was chocolate malt with some roasted coffee. Smooth, creamy, satisfying feel in the mouth. Chocolate malt and coffee in the flavor with a touch of bitterness. Robust and rewarding. This was quite good. No bull.

Pitch black body, no head. Molasses, lactic acid, and raw sugar in the aroma. Reminds me of a molasses cookie with nuts. The flavor has charcoal smoke, more molasses, and a doughy, yeasty sweetness. Finishes with dry hops and more smoke. Nicely rich mouthfeel. I dig stouts like this one, having bold flavors and mouthfeel.

Bottle; Nearly opaque with ruby highlights that produced a frothy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of oat, mocha, nut, caramel, coffee, prune, floral hops. The taste starts twangy with a lactic tone and some fruity character on top a roasted malt base. Additional undertones of smoke, nuts, and coffee. Minor bitterness on finish. The feel is thin and crisp, fizzy. Overall, a solid stout with some nice character. Thanks for the brew Joe.

Opaque black color with a medium tan head. Sweet apple, malt, and roasted coffee aroma. Nice sweet malt, apple, roasted coffee and chocolate flavors. Feel is a little thin. Great flavor, though.

GABF '03. Black pour with a nice tan head. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate. I really dug this stuff, although it was a bit light for my taste.

On tap at Jacks Bar at the Cannery in SF. Dark color with a nice head but it was served way too cold. It had a somewhat weak, yet mellow taste.
