COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We took some of our El Toro Negro Oatmeal Stout above and aged it in an oak barrel that previously contained "Old Fitgerald" whiskey. It aged in the barrel for 7 months prior to kegging it. The aging gives the beer a subtle but distinctive complex whiskey flavor and aroma.

Tap @ Baileys Taproom... Poured black with a light brown head. Very chalky, lots of oat flavors, roast, mild hints of whiskey with some sweet grains. Vanilla, oak, charred notes too.

Pitch black coloured body with a non-existant head. Aroma of roasted malt, light coffee and some bittersweet (~60% cacao) chocolate. Medium-bodied; Mouth coating chocolate flavour with a ton of roasted malt & coffee flavours-very nice! End finishes with a slight lactic twang and some cherries. Overall, another good pick from El Toro! Cheers again to Toronado for bringing in this fine beer. I sampled this pint (served in a snifter) from draught at Toronado in San Francisco, California on the second day of 10-June-2004...our first was spent in Sydney, Australia.

Tap@Toronado, San Fransisco. Pretty sweet and rich. Roasty, with definite oak, whiskey and peaty malt notes, very rich and sweet, dries out a touch towrds the end, very tasty though.
