3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours an off-orange brown with a thick, pillowy yellowish tan head. Nose is like fruitcake: a little booze, some citrus and dried fruits, and malt. Taste is pretty complex, layers of all of the above with a good, bitter, mildly grassy hop component Medium body; lively carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Very nice.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the First St. Alehouse. It pours an amber/copper color with a creamy orange head. The aroma is very fruity with some cherry, plum and orange. Moderate maltiness. The flavor is pretty much the same with lots of fruit, a solid piney, earthy bitterness and strong alcohol presence. Mouthfeel is a bit weak for the style. Pretty standard barleywine.
