330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, ochre head. Herbal hoppy aroma, peppery background, a floral touch of rose pepper, dry dark malty basis. Taste is slightly chocolately dark malty, subtle sweetness, herbal hoppy overtones, cautious but accumulating peppery background. Nice, discernible pepper note, neglectible hoppiness for a Black IPA.

Ottima.

Black, thin off-white head, some lacing. Aroma has salty licorice, coffee. Light with low carbonation, spicy and interesting flavor, medium body. Ok, tasty and nuanced.

Bottle (6%). Dark brown, average and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate to full, malty and sweetish aroma, light caramel and some roasted malt, some spiciness (coriander, pepper) and light hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, light caramel and roasted malt with some spiciness, light hoppyness. Finish is average to long, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, light caramel and roasted malt - faint burnt malt, sharp peppery spiciness, light -some citrus - piney hoppyness. BIPA with pepper and coriander - not for me.

Bottled at Winston Fest. Dark opaque black color, good beige head. Grassy, berryish aroma. Medium-bodied. Very berryish sweet flavor. Light coffee. Not hoppy enough. Off flavors.

Bottle. Dark brown, black really. Initial whiff had some green citrus hoppyness, but after thatís subdued, thereís a strong black peppercorn, light roasty aroma left. Pretty interesting actually. Body soft, smooth, medium full. Creamy almost. Has sweetness, bitters, roasted malts and some milkshake. Good black papper is something I really enjoy. With the hops, this gives a real nice light citrusy, cedary resinous sweet black pepper aroma, similar to roasting, say, a good tellicherry. Real nice.

Leaking bottle. Opaque dark brown - black beer. Good bubbly pale tan head. Palate is airy and crisp and semi dry. Minerals, Mild dark malts with mild unsweet dark chocolate. Very light peppery spice. Hops are a very mild orange marmalade. Light dry finish. Itís an okay for a dark ale but very hop light for a CDA.
