Draught@HBF2013. Very deep ambery black colour with a small bown head. Aroma is syrupy, sweet malts, raisins, wood and some toffee. Flavour is fruity and toffeeish with some wooden and mild caramelly notes. Good balance on this one.

Super fruity peachy aroma. A bit watery in the mouth. Nice roast. Estery like an English beer, but some beaniness too. Dry woody hops, but not so obvious. Dryness is clear, this does have good attenuation. After the wows other people were voicing, I’m a little disappointed. Not saying 7%, so respect to Elav for crafting this well.

Tap @ HBF2013., rated blind. Pours black with a small, beige head. Aroma is pretty light. There’s roast and some fruitiness, but not a lot. Taste is exotic fruits, grapefruit. Wouldn’t have figured for a dark beer going by the flavor. Aftertaste is roasted. Palate is light with not much carbonation. Still not a style I much like.

Pours dark copper color with a small head. Aroma of smoke, ripe fruits and hops, also roasted malts. Flavour of roasted malts, hops, caramel and fruits. Decent.

Draught @ HBF2013. Pours a black colour with a white head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice and bread. Flavour of roasted malts, grass, floral hops, licorice and bread. Medium bodied, rough mouthfeel amd a lingering bitter finish with some sweetness. Good.

Pours dark brown with a small bubbly head. Aroma of fruity hops, hints of roasty malts and hints of spices. Taste is roasty and fruity with notes of hops and spices. Finish is grainy and malty. Decent, quite untypical black IPA.

Aroma is quite spicy with pepper, some fruity and caramel notes. Flavour has peppery spices with licorice and hints of ash. Unique and good.

Robe profonde, mousse fine. Nez mêlant notes levurées et finement grillées (impression d’un pain fraîchement sorti du four). Attaque onctueuse, milieu de bouche frais avec des notes d’agrumes très amusantes. Finale sur une franche amertume et des notes de tabac.
