Bottle from Dram Shop, Sheffield. Lumpy, reddy brown. Big, thick, dirty white, lasting head. Light caramel, soft red fruit. Some soapiness. Taste is light, soap sweetness. Soap again, on the palate. Hmm...

Bottle@onepint. Brown hazy appearance. A bit of hemebrewy vibes at first, cascady pine citrus. Light body, more homebrew yeastyness. Nice ale, but does feel a bit unclen, in a dry-yeast- sort of way.

Nice simple dry nutty brown aroma. A little thin, but not lacking in flavour. Kind of nice dryness. A little ginger. Highly drinkable, and not lacking in flavour. Like the dry barky finish.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2013 Bottled 16/06/13. A murky brown coloured beer with an off-white head. Massive carboantion and yeast sludge for some reason which really distracted from the experience. The hop flavours are fruity but the yeastiness really domiantes. There are woody notes and chocolate too. Problematic. I have another bottle. Here’s hoping for better. Score 2.7

Bottled@HBF2013. Hazy deep amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is toffee, raisins, berries and some herbs in a quite soft mix. Flavour is fruity, nectary, spicy and some mild caramel maltyness. Balanced and smooth with a mild spicyness and fruityness in the after taste.

Aroma has hay, some resin and woody notes. Flavour has strong hay notes some toffee and woody notes. Odd, but not bad. Especially when looking at the ABV.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at HBF2013) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, sweetness, molasses and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and mildly bitter. This beer is a dunkel or a brown ale but not a bitter. Rather good.
