Flavours of caramel, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee in the background. Some sweet strawberry like flavours notes. Ashes notes as well. Long roasted malt finish with a strong hoppy bitterness. Bottle. Very dark brown - almost black, small to averageand mostly diminishing dark brown head. Moderate to full, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish aroma, roasted malt and light coffee/licorice, light hoppyness and faint alcohol. Body is medium to full, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, faint caramel and some roasted malt and light coffee/licorice, light hoppyness and faint alcohol. Finish is average to long, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, some roasted malt and light - some coffee/licorice, light - some hoppyness and faint alcohol. OK roasted IS - not overly too sweet. Bit too much coffee and licorice for me.

Looks like stout, smells like stout. Tastes like liquor with a long bitter aftertaste. Not my cup of tea.

Part of the advent calendar... Pretty good stout but it’s not metal enough for my personal taste...

33cl bottle. Bbe 2019/09. Pours black with a thin brown head. Roasted malt, ashy notes, licorice and some strange surypy sweet notes. Flavor has sweetness, licorice, citrusy hops, milk chocolate and pleasant candy sweetness. Something here I really like, can’t really say what it is. Smooth mouthfeel. Long finish, lingering toffee candy notes. Side notes: listening to Swallow the Sun - Songs from the North while drinking this. A nice stout that pairs well with what I consider to be the album of the year.

Bottiglia @ Simei 2015, Milano.
