Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate caramel, light fruit, faint lemon, and citrus hops. It pours a transparent dark amber with a large off-white head that has great retention. Eventually it fades to a thick film and leaves behind a lot of soapy webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate fruit, caramel, and a hint of toffee. There is a light graininess in the middle. The finish has light-moderate citrus and grapefruit hops with some light dusty notes. It’s light-medium bodied with moderate-lively carbonation.

KombatAle (121) - New Brunswick, CANADA - MAY 10, 2014
33cl bottle Pale copper with big white foam. Nose is balanced between malts and hpps. Ok light-medium body. Softness. Some cara malts, grains, hops. Medium aftertaste. Not incredible, okay american ipa.

Idiosynkrasie (4023) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 9, 2014
330ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with huge, thick, frothy to creamy, fully lasting, well lacing, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of black tea, peach. Taste is moderately bitter hoppy, notes of black tea, fruity hints of lemon and peach (resemblance to Snapple ice tea), a dry touch of leaves, tobacco, widely disguised caramel malty basis. Not what one would call crisp - rather, herbal and clammy. I like it, but it couldn’t gain more quality if pushed any further into this herb/tea direction.

erickok (3745) - Tours (and Paris), FRANCE - MAY 7, 2014
Amber bodied and stable head. Bready malts, reasonably hoppy. Medium bitter. I really liked their Ahtanum pale ale but with these darker malts it looses a bit of freshness. Thus could use some extra grapefruit, for my taste. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Strong floral aroma. Flavors of floral hops, light citrus, caramel and general malts. Hints of berries.

Sissio (690) - Orsenigo, ITALY - MAR 31, 2014
Hazy copper red with minimal cappuccino head. Malty and aromatic hoppy aroma with some caramel, grassy freshness balanced with sweet citrus notes (red orange, pink grapefruit). Malty sweetness is quickly followed by a firm, yet not invasive bitter ending, slowly fading and leaving a nice bitter orange aftertaste.

Ipa molto molto buona, con una luppolatura intensa e fruttata, con sfumature citriche ben bilanciate con la presenza maltata e caramellata. Amaro penetrante e accattivante. Niente a che vedere con i toni lamentosi e rochi del grunge!

330ml Flasche. Orange-gelbes Bier mit schöner cremigen Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, Aromen von Citrusfrüchten. Geschmack leicht süß, sehr lang anhaltende Bittere, Citrusfrüchte.

Ragnampiza (512) - Rome / Lecce, ITALY - JAN 12, 2014
330 ml bottle from beer-shop.it served in a pint glass. Dark sunrise orange, almost ruby red, pretty clear with a nice and big off white head. Fluffy and persistent. Looks lovely. Pungent aroma of resiny hops, pine needles and lots of caramel. Pretty dank smelling beer, but clearly not the freshest with some soapy notes emerging. It doesn’t shine in the mouth, unfortunately. Non existent bitterness, way too sweet and astringent, with the caramel malts dominating everything, just before a short resiny and piney aftertaste. No dryness as well. Slight metallic taste. Soft carbonation, too soft actually. Light to medium body and creamy texture. Easily forgettable.

Clear red amber color, good steady off-white head. Fruity, pineapple hoppy nose. Medium-bodied. Flavor is fruity-pineappple, some pine needles, but overall sweetish IPA. Not much grunge here but ok.
