COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Smells of caramelised raisins with some burn, milk chocolate, old leather, allspice, homemade lemonade. Buttery, whole milk hot cocoa in flavour, quite full and oily in mouthfeel, masking some of the more subtle exotic fruit flavours. Would not have been able to tell that this contains both ginger, raisins and orange peel, but given the confused milkshake of flavours midway between spiked porter, black IPA and rootbeer, it certainly makes sense.

Nice smokey porter with good chocolate notes, and a bitter finish. Very drinkable

330ml bottle. Pitch black color. Medium size, brown head, stays. Hops, nice roasted malts, bit woody, milk chocolate in aroma. Roasted malts, bit rubbery hops, grainy taste. Light roast and some hops in aftertaste. No sign of alcohol. Drinkability is very high. Nice one!

Bottle. Pours a dark brown, black with a large, dark latte colored head. Aroma is a lot of spiciness, ginger, curacao. Some roast, more chocolate, light coffee. Taste is very spicy, ginger and orange peel. Some coffee and chocolate, but spiciness dominates too much. Fairly full, high carbonation.

Bottle@ De Tolly Joogipood. Pours dark brown with tan head.Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate. Taste the same, slight to medium bitterness, with some sweetnotes like dark cherry chocolate, Maybe a bit watery for me. Medium + body. Soft carbonisation. Ok brew.

Idiosynkrasie (5539) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 17, 2015
330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting & lacing, tan head. Dark malty and fruity aroma, notes of dark berries, bramble, huckleberry, their corresponding shrubs, some chocolate. Taste is slightly sweet dark malty, dark berry notes of blue- and blackberry again, milk chocolate, dry overtones of fruit parings and shrubs; long lasting finish, sweet film remains on the lips; sadly the lively carbonation inhibits the exhaustive grasp of the flavours present.

TET (2331) - Kaarina, FINLAND - JAN 31, 2015
A black beer with a huge and beige head. The aroma has roastiness and sweetness, ginger, and some spices and fruits. Taste has strong roastiness, ginger, herbs. Medium bodied, nice carbonation. Good beer, even the ginger should be milder but that isn’t spoiled the beer. Not balanced.

33cl bottle form Grand Cru, Rimini. It pours a dark brown color with ruby edges and a medium beige head. Fizzy foam that dissipates quickly. aroma is complex, medium sweet and lightly tart, with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, raisins, orange peel, gingerbread, dust, tart raspberries, ripe apricots. Taste is again medium sweet and lightly acidic, with a bitter roasty finish. Notes of roasted coffee beans, intensifying in the finish, dark chocolate, vanilla, rye bread, ripe peaches, tart cherries and rapsberries, apricot jam, raisins, spices. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. This beer is excellent and packed with flavours, only lacking a bit of body to become a delight
