Idiosynkrasie (4446) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 17, 2015
330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting & lacing, tan head. Dark malty and fruity aroma, notes of dark berries, bramble, huckleberry, their corresponding shrubs, some chocolate. Taste is slightly sweet dark malty, dark berry notes of blue- and blackberry again, milk chocolate, dry overtones of fruit parings and shrubs; long lasting finish, sweet film remains on the lips; sadly the lively carbonation inhibits the exhaustive grasp of the flavours present.

A black beer with a huge and beige head. The aroma has roastiness and sweetness, ginger, and some spices and fruits. Taste has strong roastiness, ginger, herbs. Medium bodied, nice carbonation. Good beer, even the ginger should be milder but that isn’t spoiled the beer. Not balanced.

33cl bottle form Grand Cru, Rimini. It pours a dark brown color with ruby edges and a medium beige head. Fizzy foam that dissipates quickly. aroma is complex, medium sweet and lightly tart, with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, raisins, orange peel, gingerbread, dust, tart raspberries, ripe apricots. Taste is again medium sweet and lightly acidic, with a bitter roasty finish. Notes of roasted coffee beans, intensifying in the finish, dark chocolate, vanilla, rye bread, ripe peaches, tart cherries and rapsberries, apricot jam, raisins, spices. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. This beer is excellent and packed with flavours, only lacking a bit of body to become a delight

Veramente bella scoperta. Carbonatazione medio bassa, buona birra.

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2014 33cl bottle. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a huge brown foamy head that seems to last forever. Lots of dark and sweet fruits aromas with light roasted notes and very light alcohol. Taste is strong roastiness, with some coffee and smoked flavors developing into a nice final bitterness with some coffee again. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Very good.

Bottle @ home from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: deep black beer with no carbonation and medium brown head. Smell: grassy and floral domination. Hoppy nose with small malt taste. Look like a black IPA. Taste: malt and hops, really nice. Good taste with grassy notes and small menthol notes. Aftertaste: caramel and brown sugar with malty taste and grassy notes.

Bottle. Dark brown, average to large and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate to full malty and sweetish aroma, some fruitiness and light roasted malt, light spiciness (ginger, aniseed). Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, light caramel and roasted malt, light spiciness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, faint caramel and light roasted malt, light - some spiciness with fainthoppyness. Sweetish porter with bit sharp spiciness. Spiciness reminds me of Xmas brews.

Black bodied, stable dark tanned head. Roasted malts, coffee, marmite, syrup but never very sweet. Good stuff! Very full mouth feel, especially at this (for a thick stout reasonable) abv. Slightly honey and vanilla like in taste, medium bitter. Not bad at all! (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)
