Bov (12007) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 17, 2016
from Fork&Bottle - cloudy brown beer with a persistent beige foam; toasted malty aroma with solid notes of walnuts, spicy and earthy reminiscence, fairly hoppy; full-bodied, sweet and creamy palate, gently sourish; notes of grapefruit play with the solid nutty maltiness in a long and fizzy finish - a bit too sweet

In short: smoky sweet ale.
Pours hazy amber-orange with nice off white head. Moderate head retention, some lacing. Smoky, roasty, liquorice nose. Medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Taste is sweet, fruity, caramel, roasty, smoke notes developed while tempering. Enjoyable.

nimbleprop (7545) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUL 5, 2015
12oz bottle at IL Santo Bevitore pours a deep amber red with a ring of white head. Nose has hints of earthy smoke, apple cores, some tobacco leaf, a little rubber, red pears. Flavor follows, some rubber and industrial notes, a little hickory, some beef jerky, rotting crab apple, maybe even some ancho.. Dry, lightly peppery finish. Seems crazy, but it worked.
