bu11zeye (10165) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - SEP 5, 2007
(Bottle) Pours a hazy amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of baked caramel, cookie, and light florals. Flavor of caramel, mild hops, and toasted malt with a bitter finish. An OK ale…I suppose…

Slightly hazy, medium head, golden body. Aroma is mildly sweet, not much else. Taste doesn't have much there -- bit of sweetness, bland, finishes mildly grassy.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with cbkschubert (thanks!). Poured a medium amber color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of floral, caramel, and a little biscuity / doughy. Tastes of caramel, citrus, light dough, and toasted malts. I wonder if that 7% is right - I got no alcohol in this at all (if it is right, it is very well hidden).

CaptainCougar (6835) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - APR 2, 2007
Bottle thanks to cbkschubert: Pours a transparent copper bronze with a thin ring of off-white head. Aroma has a touch of lightly toasted caramel malt and some mild, earthy grapefruity hops. Body starts fairly full for the style with a nice, light sweetness, some bready texture and a subtle bittersweet finish. More of an amber than an APA, but a decent or OK beer.

Bottle from cbkschubert. Turbid orangy deep copper colored with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of orange zest and marmalade, caramel malt, hops, peppery spices. Tastes citric, with malt, tangerine, mild black pepper, and hops. The fact that my bottle was turbid and others are seeing this as clear might indicate that my bottle had some secondary fermentation, but I did not notice any "off" flavors or aromas, so this turbidity, at least in the case of the bottle I drank, was not deleterious.

Tap at DE. Damn another ho hum pale. Light malt, cereal, bready notes, butter. Same flavors. Not really all so great. Good view of the ASU staduim though.

BückDich (5468) - McCall, Idaho, USA - DEC 12, 2006
Bottle: Pours an amber color with a light head and good lacing. The nose is odd, like an overused stale noble hop with too much caramel malt. The flavor is a bit syruppy and bitter with some bad alcohol and off notes. The finish is bitter and there’s no cohesion. 7%? Hmm. I dunno, but it’s not that great.

Ibrew2or3 (4922) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAY 1, 2011
Poured up on tap at Dave’s Electric brewpub with clear copper body and near white head. The aroma seems malty, a bit roasty with malts and a bit earthy with a sense of citrus way off in the background. The tast begins pretty neutral and then picks up a mild level of roasted malts. To midway spicy hops come to the surface and are then joined by earthy hops into the finish. Nice spicy, earthy amber.

Burnt orange with a good 1/4-inch foam head. Spicy-orange aromas. Lightly bittered and sweet maltiness. Odd nutmeg-like finish.
