Black color with fleeting tan foam. Chocolate, deep roast malt aromas. medium bodied- smooth mouthfeel. Chocolate sauce flavors with medium roasted malt--mildly astringent as it warms up--

Poured up on tap at Dave’s Electric brewpub with dark mahogany body with amber edges and dark tan head. The aroma is nice with chewy dark roasted coffee covered chocolate brownie notes. Yum. The taste is a mix of yummy rich dark roasted coffee, dark roasted malts and some chocolate brownie. Nice stuff for 3.9% ABV.

Dark pour, tan head. Very roasty aroma, bitter chocolate, pumpernickel bread. Flavor is ashy, tar, roasted malt, chocolate. Passable.

on tap at the tempe brewpub 12/21/2009. wow! surprised to see something dark coming from electric brewing!... dark blackish brown colored pour (indeed) with a soft hot cocoa tinted head. the nose is a bit dusty... oatmeal, duh...along with notes of roast and faint chocolate. the flavor is the same... ashiness on the finish and very dry. both of these characteristics make the medium body seem thinner... but keep it drinkin’ purdy good. 5/4/5/3/14/3.1
