Minor changes in recepie, but considered to be the same beer, different scale of ingredients due to brewhouse efficiency only.

Bottle, bought @Systembolaget, Hyltebruk. Pours deep opaque black with a large, creamy, beige head. Aroma has lots of chocolate, hazelnut, light roasted, some coffee, light astringent cherries. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has good fat maltiness, chocolate, cocoa nibs, light licorice, hazelnuts aplenty. Softly vinious finish with quite some bitterness.

Medelstor kropp. Ett gott hantverk.

Bottle. Black with a creamy beige head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma has coffee, caramel/fudge, roasted malt, raisin and slight vinous notes. Taste has chocolate, raisin, roasted malt, good bitterness, vinous and sweet notes. Medium to full body, low carbonation, smooth mouth feel. Short bitter after taste, slightly warming.
This proves that an Imperial Stout doesn’t have to be a 13% beast, all the elements of a good I.S. are here.

Hopmaestro (398) - Örebro, SWEDEN - DEC 11, 2014
Aroma is straight forward Imperial Stout, you know, roasted malts, chocolate and coffee - but there’s a little spike from the hops that sends a few stings in the background. The taste takes off pretty well, and you are presented with the rich and full taste from an Imperial Stout. Round and smooth, but also a quite heavy roast to keep it interesting. It ends in an aftertaste that is more than good and in total this is a very good stout that swells out, but still keep its shit in order without strolling away too far. Solid!

Bottled. Very dark brown, almost black. Tan small head is creamy. Starts smoky with grainy notes, caramel, light chocolate and ripe peachy/polleny hops. Rich maltiness, quite sweet and a bit sugary flavor. Resiny and slightly chalky bitter finish with soft, dryish grainy and dark chocolatey roastedness and ripe fruitiness. Grainy and some grassy notes on the late finish. Full bodied, soft texture.
