Marmelade is an eastcoast style IPA. Hops are Centennial, Pacifica, Simcoe and Summit wich gives the beer aroma and taste of fruits and citrus. Malts are pale ale, chrystal and wheat.

First two small batches brewed at small batch brewery, currently brewed at Slottskällans Bryggeri.

(330ml bottle @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Feb 6 2015) Pours slightly hazy amber with a big lacy white head. Aroma has orange, wet earth, overripe tropical fruit, touches of herbal hop resin, lightly acidic, some pale malt sweetness. The palate has a fairly sweet caramel malt core, orange, citrus rind, wet grass. Finish gets pretty bitter, resinous, pine hints, citrus pith, some grain, persistent caramel. Bitterness lingers quite long in the aftertaste. Pretty average body and carbonation. I get some marmalade though it’s not that much more orange-heavy than a number of normal IPAs. Decent, bitter take on the style. Not a standout but pretty drinkable.

Bottle, 33cL. @Strasbourg. Tasting with Jaghana and Calisky (3/9). Thanks !! A brown orange opaque beer with a medium white head ; medium retention. Intense aroma of exotic fruits, resin, herbs. Medium dry bitter refreshing, acid note. Light to medium body, medium texture, good carbonation, short bitter finish. Overall, I enjoyed this one : intense fruity, fair refreshing bitter.

Flaska. Fin fräsch fruktig doft av tropiska frukter o sötma. Bra smak med en balanserad hyfsad beska.

Tap@citypub. Orange hazy. Orange jam, sort of marmelady actually, sweetness, ripe citrus. Slight grainy caramels, balanced bitters. Ok, but feels a bit boring overall.

Aroma is grapefruit, citrus peels and quite a lot of caramel and bread. The taste is really malty and a little earthy, then the hops strikes and they are really up front here. The aftertaste is really bitter and hangs around a while threatening to take over your body. At first I was disturbed a bit, there is a sensation that I couldn’t put my finger on. But after a while my mushy brain recalled my younger days when I often enjoyed a toast, with cheese and a special kind of marmelade made on pomerans (Swedish), or "Bitter Orange", "Seville Orange" - I can’t really find the English name for it. And suddenly the name on the beer clicked, and it all maked sense in the end.

Bottle @ home 20141009. Clear straw with a medium frothy head. Aroma of citrus, pine, apricot. Taste is similar with additional toffee and some alcohol. Bitterness is quite harsh. Solid IPA.
