Undefined and raw. altonbrownd (1862), Amsterdam, Netherlands Apr 27, 2008 Bottle from Bier Koning. Wondrous orange body w/ slight head. Fruity nose. Bold taste of orange, candy, fruits. Perhaps even some zoethout. TBone (6678), Pori, Finland Jul 27, 2007 Bottled (BB 12/2007)
Hazy amber-orange-nut brown color, steady creamy off-white head. Vinegar, candy, grass in the nose. Sweetish candy sugarish flavors, which doesn’t show much of its ABV. Then there is some woody-grassy hoppy notes and soya sauce. It’s quite typical strong Dutch ale with sweetness and those woody flavors. sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland Jul 3, 2007 (Bottled) Hazy amber with a small, lacy head. Without yeast, the aroma is quite alcoholic with unclean, sourish toffee. Sourish-vegetably flavor has the same diesel-alcoholic feel, with caramely, sweetish toffee. Yeast makes both smoother, but not that much more pleasant - while emphasizing the sweetness. Medium to full-bodied palate with smooth carbonation. The honey seems to have fermented almost fully. Not very impressive, but drinkable with yeast.
