33cl bottle thanks to Joes. Very hazy murky brown color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, slight sweetness, slightly herbs or spices and yeast. Low body, low carbonation.

Countbeer (2852) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - JAN 14, 2013
Bottle: Ok as soon as I got the iron crown curk of the bottle I heard a big shhhh and out came the beer. Only foam in my glass, which filled itself so quick that the foam went over the glass and out of the bottle. I was already pissed with "another gusher" that I couldn’t care less and let it go (in my mind I already made up that this fucking gusher will cost this beer a lot of credit and points). All that remained was a pool of beer in the kitchen, 1/8th left in the bottle and a lot of foam (which slowly settles) in my glass, this all for a mere € 2.10, you can say a lot, but expensive... For such a show... No.... Unto this already fucked up beer.... Grrr... When the head settles it is not more than a sticky lacing which does not even earn the name lacing. There is some old sticky foam on the glass (on both sides) and the beer looks like fucking diarrhea: dirty hazy muddy brown with dirty foam pieces all over the place and dirty yeast particles over the place. What a bummer... Score lowers even more. The smell... The smell has aroma’s off old caramel, barleys, grains, toast, carbogass, roasted barleys and roasted caramel, creamy, light infection ish aroma, some nicely dropped spices, hint of mocha, dark candy, rye, bread, light sour and yeast. Fuck I have to admit the smell was pretty nice. (Bu soon I discovered that was the best part of this beer). The favours I taste are again less interesting: bitter and mostly bitter with hints of yeast, malts, bread and toast with some hints of butter scotch, spices, mocha, sour and marzepin, but strongly overpowered by that (floral?/malty?) bitterness... The aftertaste is bitter with malts and floral notes, a bit dry and hint of spices. Quite boring but luckily it is not a nasty bitterness but much else than that bitterness isn’t there either... Hmmm.... If it had a nasty bitterness I should have opened the bottle in the sink and all problems would fix itself... The carbonation level is medium, the mouthfeel tends to feel soft, the body of this beer is medium and the texture is light creamy. Decent but a boring aftertaste and also boring taste compared to the smell, strange labels and a fucking irritating gusher which kills my mood (over this beer and brewery). Ah well it is nicely reflected in this rating. Sorry guys behind the brewery/beers, I don’t know you, but such a gusher doesn’t need to empty my wallet, fill my kitchen and leave my glass quite empty not to strike my tongue and palate to enjoy a so called craft beer... I am 100% sure a Nimf would never do this!

erickok (2282) - Tours, FRANCE - DEC 22, 2012
Brown bodied with foamy brown unstable head. Roasted malts, nutty, fresh wood and some toffee. Good aromas but not very expressive. Maybe some extra hops would do. Milk chocolate taste, rough malts, not as flavourful as it should be. Low carbonation, body is thin. A decent aroma but disappointed overall. Palate is way too thin and taste is to dimmed. Can’t compete with the big Belgians. (33cl bottle from De Bierwinkel Leiden)

bierkoning (8947) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - JUN 27, 2012
Bottle. dark brown color. Brown sugar in the aroma. Sweet flavor with caramel, mloases and licorice. The short aftertaste has a hint of licorice. Too sweet and sticky.
