500ml Bottle-Very pale golden/yellow in colour with a large head. Malty aroma with citrus and hay with mild hoppiness. The aroma is rather odd but is nothing to put me off. Smooth malty taste with a hint of lemon and grain. There is something not quite right about the taste but it is still drinkable.

0,5 L bottle as "Säästu Pilsner" 4,2%. Golden body, no head even when poured fast. Weak malty aroma. Taste is sweet and has no bitterness. Some corn and rubber in the aftertaste but it doesn’t get offensive. One of the cheapest supermarket beers locally.

2L PET bottle (Saastu Market, Haapsalu)
5- Very bready aroma, rich, almost like rye-bread. A bit odd though, not clean.
2 Rich orange, scummy head.
3 At times a fairly pleasant bready taste (4+), but some ossasional nasty tastes that are barely describable (2-). So averaging on 3. Rustiness is one aspect that does appear to be tangible.
2- Watery, OK carbonation. Finish cheap bready malts, but again, something dodgy. Sometimes marshmallows, sometimes rust.
5 While the ryebread bits are good, the unpredictability and nastiness make me not want to have more than 1 glass. OK 2, but it didn’t improve. I could understand drinking this if it were 9%, as at least it would get you there, but at 4.2%, this has no rational use at all.

PET Bottle (thanks SADESA). Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is the beershits after a day drinking at a festival. Flavour is malts, rubber, some diacetyl, metal and some grains.

Cheap beer with cheap taste. Viru Elektra is produced for OG Elektra shops/stores (North Estonia). AS Viru Õlu produces mostly good beer, but this one is nothing special. Maybe crap.
