COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This New American Black Ale, our darkest signature beer, has the malt profile of a Schwartz Beer and the floral characteristics of an IPA. Saturated in hops, this intrepid style offers smooth dark toffee flavor without the roasted bitterness.

A shwartz beer, freshly acquired by Peter FM. Roasty but not a black IPA, some hops but more like some sourness in the finish. Lagerish. Lacey.OK drinkability.

Thanks to Peter. Pours dark brown with a little head and some head and minimal lacing. Theres some hops but hard to detect. Some tang at the end of taste. Thick consistency. Taste bitter with some malty aroma. Balance isn’t bad.

750ml bottle from Archive Beer Boutique. There is a big fluffy head in the initial pour. The beer itself is light black with a mix of hop and faint grapefruit aromas. Big alcohol kick in the mouth makes you sit up and take notice. The flavour is good and the beer fills the mouth with a smooth velvet mouthfeel.

Poured from a large bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a full, thick black color with a deep brown hue, and a huge foamy light tan head with very good retention, good lacing, and lighter cling. The aroma had a deep roasty malt presence with earthy hops, light caramel, touches of chocolate, and some light grain and cereal with an oak presence. Its taste was bitter and grainy with oak and a deep roasty toffee flavor with dark fruits, and lighter touches of sweet caramel and chocolate with a deep bitter oak and fruit finish. The body was thick and filling, and it had a somewhat creamy mouthfeel, which was very lively and fizzy with good carbonation, and was a touch dry and watery. Thank you Tom and Tracy for the Christmas present!

pours dark brown with tan head and some lace. Aroma is malt, hops. Taste is sweet malts, citrus, lively carbonation, leans more to a porter to me, but good none the less.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a small beige head. Roasted malt in the aroma with fruity and piney hops. Sweetish flavor with roasted malt, chocolate, fruits, pine and some bitterness. Medium body, slight bitterness in the aftertaste.
