COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This innovative ale, burnished chestnut in color, contains the malt characteristics of an ESB without the typical bitterness. Lighter carbonation highlights the oak-aged flavor and its enduring tones of toasted vanilla and spice.

Draft. Poured copper with an off-white head. Aroma and flavor were very woody, moderately malty. Strange chemical flavors. I’ll pass.

Bottle at the Beer Shop, East Longmeadow, MA during a meet the brewer event, 19/05/13. Clear copper with a thin off white head. Nose is woody, dark malts, faint suggestion of bourbon and vanilla. Taste comprises wood, toffee, dark malt, biscuit, light booze, dark bready tones. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light boozey finish. Decent.

Light haze on this amber beer. Good pale cream coloured head. The head tastes of dry raw wood!! Crisp and dry palate. Minerals, creamy malt , vanilla cream and citrus. All battered in to submission by big dry wood and even a trace of sap! Very dry finish. The woodiest beer I’ve ever had - raw wood at that.

Draught. Amber brown clear no t much head. The aroma is chocolate frosting on a slightly burnt vanilla cake. This is it’s best quality. The flavor is way too sweet and reminds me of the "chocolate cake" shot made with Frangelico hazelnut liquor. it its only good because it is surprising and last for a second. Mouthfeel is cooling, thin, with a slight acrid finish. Really dislike beer.

750ml bitter from Archive Beer Boutique. Enjoyed this beer on a scorching hot summer’s afternoon while sitting on a balcony high above the city. Golden amber colour with a wave of white foam that clings to the glass. Aroma of caramel and vanilla cake. Very lively in the mouth with a smooth velvet mouthfeel and a strong alcohol kick. Rich and lush this beer goes down a treat with flavours that penetrate all parts of the mouth.

Poured from a large bottle into an Element pint glass to drink. The beer was mostly clear with a vibrant amber-ruby red color with a medium-sized, foamy white head that had short retention and minimal cling and lacing. Its aroma featured rich malty spices with a strong caramel tone, paired with a mix of earthy and oak hops, along with a subtle hint of vanilla. The taste featured a strongly bitter oak character with some lighter sweet caramel malt with a good deal of spice and perhaps nutmeg. The body was wet and watery with a very lively fizz and high carbonation along with a presence of alcohol at the finish and a lighter, thinner mouthfeel. Thank you Tom and Tracy for the delicious Christmas present!

Bottle courtesy of Zdadk at Dadtoberfest 2012. Pours a deep, hazy amber body with thin white lacing. Aroma is light oak, bitter hop and sweet malt. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of sweet, toasted malts, oak, wet dog, bitter hop, toast and light grain. Somewhat bland overall.

brought this bottle to Dadtoberfest - dry and oaky on the nose. Palate is sweet brown sugar and a touch of caramel. touch of smoke with a woody finish. Nothing bad here, but nothing exciting.

Bottle at the Dadtoberfest at Jdadmond’s Dad Pad. Pours a hazed amber with a thin white head. Toast, a touch of oak, soft malt, funk. Medium bodied, sweet malt, toasty and almost oxidized. Finishes with some malt and toast, not a lot going on here, Nothing good, nothing bad. Just a lot of nothing.
