"Oatmeal Pilsner" combines the smoothness of an oatmeal stout and the pale golden color or a German Pilsner. An enormous helping of Nobel hops impart aromas of a fresh cut field whilst English oats and our house yeast give this ale a surprisingly rich finish.

Pours a bright golden color with a tight white head. Non stop cascade of tiny bubbles rise from the bottom of the glass. Smells sweet, slightly caramel and dough like. Malty sweet taste, very crisp and then a lingering warm alcohol finish. Very enjoyable on a dreary summer eve.

Pours deep amber into a tulip. White conglomerate head with excellent retention leaves spider sheets as it recedes. Cereal and toast aromas. Full with sweet caramel, toasted oats and a hot, lasting bitter Nobel finish.

One of the better beers I’ve had this summer. Price tag makes it hardly a quaffer, but this is truly a ’summer beer’ I can get behind. Strong and peculiar nose of lemon zest and... soap? Soap but in a good way. The beer is full for a ’pils’ but definitely not cloying or overly sweet, nor is the beer just a light IIPA like many american pils out there. Seek out, pay up, drink, this beer might be borderline world class.

Excellent texture and great flavor, its surprising how nice the texture is. Sweet flavor up front, but finishes dry. Pricey but outstanding example of an imperial pilsner. The oatmeal really helps this style. I think it would be even better with more hops, but otherwise it’s perfect.

Sampled at the 2012 American Craft Beer Festival. This beer is amazing for the style. Really thick texture. Worth trying.

Shared bottle at Craft Ale. Pours hazy dark straw with off-white head. Nose was noble hops, pale malt, some yeasty funky notes, Tastes complex, with an assertive hoppy flavor, some dryness and white peppery spicy notes, noble hops, and a crisp finish.
