COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep ruby in color, Red Giant contains caramel malt sweetness combined with significant hop bitterness and leathery aroma, resulting in a balanced flavor profile. Not a singular beer, Red Giant’s complexity offers a new flavor with every sip.

750 ml bottle from Cervezalandia shared. Beautiful ruby amber color with a nice white head that lasted only for a few seconds. Aromas of caramel, burnt sugar and hints of honey and licorice. The bottle was a bit old so the hops didn’t stand out, only slighlty biting the edge of the tongue. The taste was great!!! Caramel, sugar, definitely pronounced honey and licorice, and maybe some dark fruits!! The body was full to medium and carbonation was a bit strong!! The alcohol was perfectly hidden!!!! A great beer that I would like to try fresh!

On tap at the Stag’s Head, Manhattan NY on 2nd July 2013. Strongly red with off white foam ring and no lacing. Aroma of roast malts and berry fruits. Malty in-mouth with fruit and biscuit notes. Finish much the same but with some bitterness.

On gravity cask @ Blind Tiger House. Looks like it has been on a cask for sure. Cloudy deep dark amber on color and the bubbly translucent top that came in the pour is long gone before I get a chance to sit down at my table. Smells nice. Kinda sweet with licorice and gunpowder. Sorta peppery also perhaps? Smells really nice. Oh, lots of flavors there! Cask-flat of course and the mouthfeel is light oily. Almost salty in a way, lots of gunpowder, oxidation, lots of eastery banana, caramel, red really over ripe fruits and lots of grassy hops in the finish and aftertaste. Lovely stuff. 16.06.2013

Tap at Stagshead. Pours reddish brown with foamy head and nose of candys and pine. Tastes of caramel, brown sugar, pine, grapefruit, dark fruits, berries, cloves, resin, and leather. Pretty bitter and a lot going on. Interesting brew

Growler pour at the Beer Shop, East Longmeadow, MA during a meet the brewer event, 19/05/13. Lightly hazed reddish amber with a thin beige head. Nose is hops, pine, caramel malts. Taste comprises malt, light pine, hops, touch of grapefruit, orange pith, grass, sugars. Full end of medium bodied, fine carbontation, crisp clean finish for an 8% beer with a touch of hop bitterness. A decent number.

from Erzbierschof - cloudy brown beer under a chaotic and persistent beige foam; hoppy aroma of red fruits with notes of caramel; some sweetness, fizzy and full-bodied, a bit chewy palate; residual sweetness and more notes of caramel, marzipan and red fruits in the finish

(On tap au Farmhouse tap n’ grill): Belle couleur rouge vif, malheureusement pas beaucoup d’arômatiques ni de saveurs s’en dégagent. Vraiment décevant malgré une bonne présence en bouche.

Hazy dark red - brown beer. Big cream - tan head. Light lactose malt on the nose. Palate is crispy and semi dry. Creamy malt with robust hop bitterness but not much hop fruit except a trace of grapefruit. Whisper of bubblegum. Semi dry finish with strong bitter linger. Too much bitterness without any hop fruit.

10 oz. snifter @ Gardner Ale House. Deep ruby with a thin white ring of head. Nose is a subtle English malts. Flavor is a nice layered malt. Toffee, caramel and a light dark fruit note. Body is much lighter then it looks with a fruity hop note in the finish. Texture is on the oily side. It paired nicely with my Pulled Pork sandwich. The English "element" is very subtle. And the ABV is not detectable at all. Nice drinker.

Poured from a large bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a cloudy brownish color with dark ruby-red shading and hue, along with some sediment, and a big tan foamy head with great retention, good lacing, and average cling. Its aroma featured caramel malt and sugar with some candy and yeast, and also a mix of fruity hops, a bit of raisin, and some light pine. The beer initially had a rich, malty caramel taste but only light sweetness, which yielded to an intense bitter and somewhat sour grainy-earthy mix, with a light presence of dark fruit. It was a very lively, fizzy beer with high carbonation, and a thick and full mouthfeel that was a bit dry but quite heavy. A very complex beer that became more and more pleasant as it settled. Thank you Tom and Tracy for the great Christmas present!
