On tap at the ACBF. Pours more brown than red with a medium tan head that laces down the glass nicely. A little smoky and nutty with a touch of spruce. Toasty and nutty with a resinous finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber with a light brown head that lasted throughout the beer and laced nicely. Aroma has notes of light fruits, flowers a bit of caramel and some dark grains as well. Flavor begins light with fruits but quickly has the malts take over with light caramel and a bit of dark bread.

From tap at Sunset Grill. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malty and slight breadish, Mild fruity. Dark malty, roasted and slight breadish. Bitter and roasted dark malty. Dark roasted malty and slight bitter finish.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of malt, slight caramel, salt, and light sweet hops. Poured dark orange/brown in color with a large, loose, tan/beige head that diminished and became creamy and dense, and lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling to very sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, Earth, slight herbs, slight vegetables, and a hint of caramel. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, hops, salt, and Earth finish is dry. 8%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Bottle… Deep, dark, burnt-orange ale with a mid-sized, fluffy, white head. Everlasting retention. The bouquet is a bit earthy; presenting leather alongside subtle hops and malts. Sample at Julio’s NE Beer Festival. This one is hard to describe. Not your usual amber ale, this one had a more earthy and substantial character to it. Not bad.
