Bottle. High creamy and long lasting off-white head. Hazy dark ruby body. Lovely sweet aroma of raspberries, cocoa and caramel. Flavor also very sweet roasted malt caramel cocoa but it has a fruity fresh hint that I cannot really figure out. Good though. Low carbonation. Long and a bit dustry sweet aftertaste. Not much bitterness but its there. Very well balanced beer with the alcohol well hidden by the sweetness. Nice surprise. And then in a huge bottle. I won’t share it with anybody!

really a great amber ale. First off the cork was a bitch to get out but worth the wait. Color is a deep brown amber that glows more in the light. Topped by a yellow tinged head. aromas of caramel, reduced fruity wine, and toast dominate. Some grass hops smell notes are lighter. taste is a full red ale like malt. finishes out with touch of booze and very dry. Great even mouth feel balancing carbonation and perfect unfiltered texture.

750 from cakanator. Pours dark reddish amber with a foamy 4 finger tan head. Rich caramel aroma, lightly roasted, with something like chocolate. Chocolate = leather? Full bodied or near with foamy carbonation. Flavor is confusing. Darkish malt; tannic; baking chocolate; earthy hop. Yeasty. Musty. Barnyardy. Really good ale. Guess it’s an amber, cause I can’t think what else to label it.

I got a bottle of this from the brewer. Pours a deep clear amber color with a very thick off white head. Aroma if of sweeter malts, some caramel, toffee, and some sweeter hops. Taste is pretty similar to the smell. There might be a little bit of bread and gluten present also. Leaves a sweeter malt finish. Not too bad. Not too bad at all.
