Draft. Rich amber beer with a big cream colored head. Cocoa and light earth aroma with light grapefruit. Cocoa and grapefruit flavor with pine and light earth. Medium bodied. Nice balance. Cocoa and grapefruit lingers with pine and light earth.

On draft at the brewpub. It pours a copper color with a khaki head. The aroma is very tropical with hints of peaches, papaya, and mango. Not much malt character. The flavor is hoppy and fruity with a bit of spice in the finish. Nice mouthfeel. I would have liked more character in the malt profile. Nice hoppy red though.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2011 nice darker red pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma is malty with with roasted grain coming out. The flavor is toasty malt, woody, slight tart grain, and a mild bitter hoppiness. Palate is dry and mostly bitter but not bitingly so. Overall a nice drinkable beer but not overly complex or balanced. Re-rate (11-8-11): Second batch adjustments give the beer a nice resiny hop aroma, and a subtle hop note to taste: 3.5->3.7. Nice improvement.

Cloudy red pour. Nice rye aroma. Good hop character. Risidual hoppiness in aftertaste. If you like rye give it a try!
