Much like the magical movies of our childhood, running a brewery in a town far, far, away with great friends and family can seem like a dream. From sharing a pint with co-workers after a long day on the bottling line, to pouring our beers at the Great American Beer Festival next to my beautiful wife, sometimes the blessings I have received in my life can seem, well…inconceivable. A bold beer that no one has brewed before, this barrel aged double IPA somehow retains its lively hops while combining with flavors of vanilla and oak from our new barrels to create a beer that tastes of fortune and glory. Cheers. Xandy Bustamante

Clear light amber with an aroma of bourboned oak and melon and pineapple hoppiness with some boozy undertone. Big pineapple flavor with some caramelly and sharp oak undertones that lend a little pineapple flavor overall. Tropical hoppy yet sharp oaky.

Pleasantly surprised here. Deep copper. Nose of caramel malts, citrus hops, light oak. Fairly malty, but dry, with juicy hops, and light wood tannin. Oak really rounds out the mouthfeel and adds a nice complexity to the beer. RIght up there with Burton Baton if not better for me.

Draft. Pours a deep copper/amber. Aroma of tropic fruit, pine, mango. Orange zest. Taste is pine, fresh orange flesh, grapefruit. Slight sweet malt balance. Slight booze presence on the finish. Surprisingly complex for a DIPA. Sticky sweet finish.

From a 75 cl bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy copper with a thick off white head. Orange aroma. Flavors of oak, vanilla, pine and caramel. Bitter finish. Ooh, yah!.

Pours a darker amber color with off-white head. A hint of oak on this, more so citrus and a little pine. I really didn’t get much from the barrel on this one, which is disappointing, was expecting more, especially for the price.

Pours hazy amber with very little head out of bottle. Sweet aroma of hops mixed with the aroma of a used American oak barrel. Sweet flavor of bourbon with a hop finish. Excellent beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2014 Tropical fruit combine with citrus and wood to provide a rewarding aroma. A cloudy copper pour with a thin white head and abundant lacing preceed the flavors of pine, resin, with notes of wood, vanilla, and fruit. Medium body with medium carbonatin. In summation, this is a nicely crafted DIPA. The hops don’t blow your head off, but instead provide satisfying tasting experience.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 750 ml Bottle. The beer pours to a amber/brown color. The head very thick white foam. The aroma is piney, smokey, oak & some alcohol. The taste has a bourbon, oak & some citrus. Overall an ok DIPA. Doesn’t seem to have a lot of hop bitterness to it though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - Almost sweet fruit like apricot, oak and some tropical hops. Clear copper with a rich huge beige head. Peach, oak, bitterness and a long tropical finish. I like it.
