COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First Cast pours a hazy gold, with soft orange hues and white fluffy head that sits on its peak like the snow on the 14,000-foot mountains that are the backdrop to our microbrewery. Aromas of grapefruit, pine, and citrus hops as well as hints of caramel and fresh bread from our locally grown malt invade the senses. The beer hits with a smooth hop bitterness that tingles across the tongue with a lingering bite of mountain pine, grapefruit and fresh citrus notes. This beer is designed as an everyday brew for the craft beer aficionado, with a medium body and a high carbonation to refresh the palate.

Could be my new favorite IPA, certainly my go to from Colorado. Smooth, hop forward without being too aggressive. Really well balanced. This will be a new standby and go to in my fridge. Nice Job Elevation!

This is not a huge hop bursting IPA. However, it is an extremely well balanced one. I can taste the pure mountain mineral water, the piney hops and the hint of malt. The finish is long and crisp.

Double Dry Hopped firkin at Hops and Pie poured a cloudy gold with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of biscuit, grassiness, grapefruit, pine and light mango. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, grapefruit, pine and grassiness with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Orange pour with good head. Really nice grapefruit and blood orange aromas. The taste is pretty balanced, though grassy hop bitterness comes in a bit too strong at the end. Finishes pretty clean. Medium body and mouthfeel

On hand at Denver Summer Beer Fest 2012. Hazy golden with generous fluffy white head. Aroma of strong hoppy tones like peppery pine and fresh cut flowers, with a nice earthy toffee presence underneath. Taste is clean but sharp and full, with delightful hop tones of bitter grassiness, some light floral herbalnes, and a nice belgianesque malt tone that’s both dusty yet grainy. Interesting and complex.

On Tap at Denver Winter Brew Fest ’13. Pour is golden orange with a big cream head and decent lacing. Earthy/spicy hops upfront, somewhat dirty, caramelly, piney, and grassy hops in the aroma with a touch of biscuit. Taste is very earthy, somewhat spicy, a touch of citrus, grapefruit peel, some biscuit and bread, with notes of grass and resin as it begins to warm. Sticky mouthfeel with high carbonation. Solid IPA.

More like a good pale ale than IPA. Would be a great post-mountain bike beer. Nice floral hop aromas but pretty light nose. Deep gold. Nice balanced slightly breast bitter finish. Love the pint bottle 4 packs.
