This beer pours a deep dark brown with a snow-white head. Aroma notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and sweet milk hit the nose bringing up images of the delicious Mexican drink this beer is styled after. The beer hits the palate with vanilla, sweet chocolate malts, and a hint of cinnamon; all with a medium body and good balancing hop bitterness.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy chocolate, peanut butter, and nuts. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a small beige head that quickly fades to a thin film. The finish has light-moderate roasted nuttiness/peanut butter. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Roast, vanilla aroma. Black in color with no head. Smooth with a strong vanilla character and light cinnamon spice notes over a moderate roast base. This beer is not bad, just wish it was a bit stronger.

Poured from a 750ml bottle. The aroma is sweet chocolate, vanilla. The flavor is rich and malty, roasted malts, vanilla, the cinnamon is minimal. Very tasty.

Bottle. Despite the description, the head is not snow-white; it’s a lovely, lacy cinnamon brown, topping beer that is jet-black with brown highlights and as opaque as a mathematics doctoral thesis. The nose is chocolate, coffee, and cinnamon; the milk is more milk chocolate than pure dairy, but it’s definitely got an element of richness. What hit me first was the mouthfeel -- round, smooth, and mouth-coating, like rich cream; there’s chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg, coffee, all conveyed by that glossy, velvety mouthfeel. Incredibly impressive. Bitterness on the close, and more spice. Very, very well done.

Pours a very dark brown almost black color with off-white head. Vanilla, cinnamon and oak are very present on the nose along with some cocoa; follows onto the palate. There is a lot going on in this one and ends with a bit of warming from the cinnamon spice.

Growler from Craft and Growler. Dark brown pour with a white head. The aroma and flavor of this beer are very nice. I get some heavy chocolate and roasted malt notes in the aroma. These notes are also present in the flavor, with the welcome addition of some cinnamon, lactose and vanilla notes. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice beer.

750ml. Poured a dark brown with a khaki top and minamal lacing. Taste of vanilla, spice, cocoa malts, and slight cinnamon. Low carbonation, thick body. Tasty indeed.

Coffee nose, sweet fudgey malts, lots of richness. Sweet, milky vanilla coffee character. Tons of sugar, rich body, maybe too sweet for me but it is a good dessert beer.

Draft. Pours a deep brown color with a thin creamy tan head. Aroma is slightly nutty, roasted malts, sweet cream, vanilla. Flavor is light roasted malts and nuttiness, heavy creamy sweetness. Horchata very present. Medium body with a lingering nut and sweetness. Interesting. Delicious.

Aroma of vanilla, spice, and hints of milk chocolate. Pours a thick brown hue with a khakie head and moderate lacing. The taste is overall sweet - a Mexican milk shake- vanilla, cinimon, and milk chocolate. Full body and soft carbonation. Smooth round mouthfeel. Overall, a creamy richly rewarding sweet beer. licorice,
