COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Elevation’s first barrel aged beer is made in the tradition of the farmhouse beers of the Wallonia region of Belgium. Eclectic, funky, and original this is the first beer in our Double Black Diamond Series of seasonal barrel-aged beers. The Signal de Botrange is the highest tower on the highest point in Belgium and we hope our Signal de Botrange will help elevate your perception of beer, much like the beers of Belgium did for us.

"Chardonnay barreling makes this a wood and fruit (grape) forward belgian ale with pretty mellow abv and spice profile. Pretty enjoyable. Almost saison-like, but a little fruitier than most. Dry, bittersweet finish."

On the nose a little funk compliments a vinous aroma. A pumpkin amber pour with short lived off-white head and no lacing. The palate is an explosion of sweet and sour. Interesting. Sweet to begin with and quickly turning to a citrus sour finish. Not what I was expecting. Wood, white wine, fruit sweetness, citrus, slight sourness. Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Overall, an unusual but a rewarding Belgian strong ale.

Bottle share thanks to MK. Appearance: finger of white head that does not last, straw yellow, cloudy. Aroma: wine, oak, grapes. Palate: light body, thin texture, dry finish. Taste: sweet grape fruit start into a good amount sour/tartness. Overall, super good balance, aroma and tastes are phenomenal, love the heavy grape.

Deep copper colour. Lots of bubbles hold a small, white ring head. Good sour aroma. Flavor is doused with Belgian candy sugar. Burnt caramel and yeasty notes follow. Still prett ly good for all the sweetness.

Slightly cloudy orange brown. Funky nose with so peppery esters, white wine. Fairly malty, with some peppery spice, white wine barrel character, and tart finish, with unfortunate bruised apple acetylaldehyde.

On tap at Barrels & Bottles. Golden, orange and hazy appearance with a small white head. Aroma of tart fruits, citrus zest, funky yeast, vanilla, wine, and light oak. Similar flavor, vinous, mild sweetness and light bitterness. Pretty tasty.

Bottle shared at Hunahpu Day in Tampa. Thanks! Golden amber pour with a medium fluffy head that lasted. Decent lacing spider webs. Aroma of white wine, green grapes, wood barrel, cereal, and straw. The taste was white wine, slight funk, slight spice, dough and apples/pears. Light body, good solid carb. FInish is wine barrel for sure.
