Team-brewed every year specifically for the Craft Lager Festival. Each year the host brewer changes. Rich, sweet malt balanced by a significant alcohol presence, toasty qualities, and some caramel.

Tasting at the brewery. Pours a medium light beige, well retained head over a clear light brown (SRM 20) body....nose is heavy plum, raisin, toffee/caramel, minimal hops.....taste is sweet with cocoa. plum, raisin, minimal hop bitterness, with fruit and cocoa tones dominating, mouth feel medium, sticky, alcohol warmth present, carbonation low. The roast malt (cocoa) are very dominant, and the malt complexity overall is a bit low for the style. BJCP 8/3/15/4/7

Clear nutty dark amber with a thin off-beige head. Nose is nutty and biscuity with a touch of toasted grains. Flavor is rich and malty with biscuit and doughy grain tones, dark yeastiness, and a boozy earthy toffee backbone. A bit too boozy and a tad bit chalky.

On tap @ The Forge. Mahogany pour with a khaki head. Big time cherry and raisin aromas. Grape, booze, and caramel. Some molasses, too. Big sweetness on the palate. Lots of cherry, grape, and raisin. Caramel, molasses, and syrup. Somewhat boozy, not bad.
