3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint on tap at the brewery. Mostly clear golden orange color. Thin off-white head, with good retention. Dots and bits of lace. Good bigger kind of grapefruity zesty spicy hop aroma. Bigger bitter taste, light sweet, kinda dry finish... Light slick. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft texture. Solid, hoppier more assertive pale ale.

16 oz draught. Amber color, thick, dense white head. Mildly hoppy aroma. Hops then water, not much there...little pine. Pretty disappointing for an Elevator beer.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Listed as Bear Ass Pale Ale as the pub. Beautiful dark golden color with a good full head. Buttery, medium hop first taste that becomes extremely smooth as it goes down.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
on tap poured into a pint glass
a: amber color, slight lacing cap. decent amount of carbonation visible.
s: citrus hop, light and slightly caramalized malt
t: pretty well balanced citrus hop and light pale malt. I do notice a chalkyness that I have tasted in other beers here. I think some oxygenaztion is present.
m&d: light to medium bodied, well carbonated. Decent APA, but I’d expect this quality from a homebrewer not a brewpub.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
July 17-19, 2008: The aroma of Elevator Bear Ass Pale Ale has light cedar and the flavor has a light amount of hops. It has a hazy, deep golden appearance with an off-white crown. Overall this beer is balanced, but somewhat grainy for the style.
Draught sample at The CI in Athens, Ohio during Ohio Brew Week 2008. Rating #27 for this beer.
