Draft sampler at brewpub. Faint sour aroma, light body, hops present but not very assertive. I don’t expect an IPA level of bitterness for a pale ale but this was a little light for a plae ale--still, not all that bad.

A sweet pale that that tries to do a little of everything.
I like:
Fairly bitter and lasting finish. Appealing spicy yeast undertones. Healthy white foam covers the hazy light orange.
I dislike:
Lack of focus. A little bit of spice, a little bit of orange, a little bit of hops and a lot of sweetness. Not totally balanced and with a bit of grainy sourness which I disliked - fruits and grain husk.

Sep 17, 2008 Orange pour with a tight head and lace. Light citrus aroma. Medium malt and a medium bitter as well. A slightly foamy medium bodied beer.
estoppel (1019), Buffalo, New York, USA
Aug 1, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Light amber body, not much nose, small head. Light on flavor with good malt/hop balance. Decent quaffer.
