On tap at elevator. Decent example of the style. A little sweet, head was a little thin

bottle... better looking than the average us macro german oktoberfest, a dark crisp orange with a light tan head, ok lace... the nose is light burnt toast with a bit of malt, good... tastes super exaggerates the burnt toast with a bit of peanut butter... doesn’t taste like a normal oktoberfest but its unique to drink and interesting

12 ounce bottle. Served in a mug, the beer pours an orange/copper color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent. Aroma is toasted and caramel malt, along with some bready malt too. Taste is the same as the aroma, it’s all malt. I don’t notice any hops at all. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit coating and it’s well carbonated. Drinkability is good enough, I wouldn’t have a problem drinking more than one of these at a time. A decent brew overall, it’s not a bad Oktoberfest beer. It’s good to see Elevator bottling more of their brews.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2010 Sample at the brewpub, this is the September selection in Elevator’s "MBA" program. Pours a clear orange color with a medium thin bone white head that dissipates steadily. Spots and strings of lacing. Caramel malt aroma with slight hops. Medium body with flavors of bready malt, caramel and grain. The finish is sweet and malty with a lingering caramel aftertaste. Decent brew overall.

Pint at Elevator. September offering of the MBA program. Clear copper pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt and caramel and some lager yeast. Caramel malt flavor up front with some noble hop crispness and some lager yeast for a clean finish.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Rastacouere (5923) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 6, 2008
Objectively speaking:
Clean lager that does not venture much into experimental territory, but does a fair job at providing toasty vienna flavours.
I like:
Sweet and toasty malts are rapidly balanced by welcome leafy hops. Soft and gentle carbonation feels pillowy on the palate, though they cut any crispiness aspiration. obvious vienna character with toasty, grainy, sunflower seeds developments.
I dislike:
More hop character would be most welcome as the malts never venture beyond the call of duty.

Medium light coppery blonde with an active, bubbling head which fades to a thin film. Light cologne-y malt aroma. Sweetish, slightly toasted. True to style, medium light bittering. Way drinkable. Medium light body. Finish is seedy/toasty and hangs on just a bit too long.

Orange amber pour with off white head and foamy lace. Semi sweet malt flavor with a light bitter finish. Medium bodied with a hint of foaminess. Very good and refreshing. I think it had a hint of pepper.
