Pours a deep brown with a thin tan head. Strong bouron aroma with a hint of chocolate. Taste heavily of bourbon, but also has a nice caramel coffee taste. Really a great beer. sample at Microbrew festival at the North Market.

On tap at Lounge 62. Darkest brown pour with a medium beige head. Aroma is bourbon, fruit, tartness and some roast. Flavor is bourbon and rye with some fruit and chocolate before a roasty finish.

Sample at the North Market Columbus Microbrew fest on 09/26/2010. The line at this stand was a good indication of the faithful local followers. I love a regular dopplebock so this one was on my must try list. Dark brown pour, thin tan head. Roasted nuts and burnt toast nose. Flavor was caramel, bread and cream. Very nice offering from an often over looked local brewer.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2010 Sample at the North Market Columbus Microbrew fest on 09/26/2010: The beer is a very dark brown color with a thin tan head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, toasted malt and caramel. Rich body with flavors of dark roasted coffee, malt, caramel and underlying booze. The finish is malty with an oaky bourbon aftertaste. Good all around.
