dkoonce (744), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA Sep 25, 2006 Pale and thin, with almost no aroma. Very fruity flavor. A bit sweet in the finish. Aurelius (2447), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 16, 2006 Clear gold. Doughy lemon aroma. Brothy, lightly sweet, some vinegar and cereal. Yeasty, doughy stuff in the aroma as well. Pasta complimient, a little unfinished. Dogbrick (2209), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 2, 2006 This is the July selection in Elevator’s "MBA" program, and coincidentally the last one I had to have to earn my Masters of Beer Appreciation! The beer is a pale golden color with tiny bubbles and a thin white head with decent retention. Light hops and malt aroma. Light-bodied and effervescent with light and zesty citrus and hops flavors. The finish is mildly sweet malt with a touch of hops. Decent summer brew that is pretty good for the style. Earlier Rating: 8/30/2005 Total Score: 3.4 This is the August selection in Elevator’s "MBA" program. It’s a pretty decent stab at the California Common style. Light copper color with a thin cream-colored head that never quite went away. Thin lacing. Lightly floral hops aroma. Light and crisp body with mild hops flavor, as well as some herbs and fruit. The finish is clean and mildly bitter. A nice late summer session beer. Tmoney99 (3503), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jul 18, 2006 Draft at The Elevator as the monthly brew alternative. Light pale color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Light sour citrus aroma. Light to medium body. Light sweet flavor with a light earthy finish of moderate duration. My expectations were not met. dwyerpg (2032), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Nov 7, 2005 Nice smell and appearance. Quite a worthy attempt at the California Common. Hopefully they’ll keep it on.
