February beer of the month for the PhD program. Punch card lists it as Chocolate Cherry Wheat, but there isn’t a damn thing chocolate about this beer and the bartender kept calling it Cherry Wheat. Must’ve changed their mind on the recipe. Pours clear amber with a medium white head. Nose of banana, wheat, clove and a hint of cherry. Flavor is also dominated by banana and clove with a bit of crisp hop and some cherry in the finish as it warms. Not my thing.

Draft at the Elevator. Poured hazy brown color with an average frothy reddish head that was mostly diminished with minimal lacing. Moderate wheat, chocolate and cherry aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy dark cherry flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Complex fruit beer that exceeded my expectations.

Pours a golden wheat color with a nice white head. Starts off with a nice belgian wheat taste, but then moves towards sweet, sweet, sweet. There is way too much sweet flavor. Without the sweet taste at the end the beer would be much better. Draft pint as part of the PHD program
