Jun 18, 2007 Floral nose of coffee, cereal, toffee, and brown sugar. The brew is black with garnet ruby highlights. The mostly lasting light brown rocky head leaves fair lace. Sweet, fruity and roasted with moderate acidity and a big finish. The medium body is dry and soft. Special thanks to Jana banana for the elevator binge.

Jun 6, 2003 Pours an opaque brownish-black color with a thin beige head. Aroma of malt and nuts. Medium-bodied, and I was struck by a cinnamon flavor out of nowhere which made this an interesting Porter to say the least. Behnid the cinnamon were the more expected flavors of chocolate and malt. Finish still had some cinnamon, along with light hops and nuts. Overall pretty good, and I like the name too.

Dec 25, 2005 Pours inky black with very thin white head. Nose is rather clean with mild smoky overtones. The flavor is sweet, slightly smoky, and tends towards dark fruit. No hops evident but that’s OK for this style

Oct 16, 2006 sampled at colmbus alefest. very good porter, rich deep brown color with a nice tan head. very roasty and toasty flavor and aroma, carmel and nuttiness. smooth bittering to balance the matliness. good clean finish.
