Tasted at 2013 Dayton Alefest- I got it for the name but it was an excellent brown ale. Carmel flavor with an excellent malt flavor on the tongue.

Pours a chestnut brown with little to no head. Aroma of metal, nuttiness, and mocha. Taste is that of roasted hazelnuts, a touch of metal, and just the right body. A great nut brown second to Bellís BB.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Taster on tap at Casa. Kind of an unnerving name. Clear orange-red brown color. Little off-white head. Loose lace. Light bitter taste. Medium body. Crisp carbonation. Kind of a light bite in the texture, slight metallic. Nutty flavor, light hint of chocolate, earthy bitter hop. OK. Not great. Not much to it.

On tap at restaurant. Good medium brown color and good initial mouthfeel. Very smooth and balanced. Rarely have I had nut taste in my mouth and been so pleased.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy amber with a tiny eggshell white head. Aroma of toasted malts, leaves, earth, and a bit of brown sugar. Flavor mostly follows suit, with leafy hops, coffee, toasted malts, tobacco, and earth. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a toasty mouthfeel. Decent brown ale.

Crushed at GABF í10. Had to sample this strictly because of the name. Meh. Not much going here. A little nutty, kinda roasty. Kinda gritty mouthfeel. Worth trying.
