COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re unveiling what may be "The World’s Hottest Beer" at The North Market Fiery Foods Weekend, Feb. 18-19. Ghost Scorpion Lager contains the two spiciest chiles in the world -- the Bhut Jolokia, or Ghost chile, and the Trinidad Scorpion chile. The chiles were provided by CaJohns Flavor & Fire, an award-winning purveyor of all things insanely hot. Samples and pints of the draft version of the beer will be available during the Fiery Foods Weekend, Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Bottles of Ghost Scorpion Lager will be sold at The Barrel & Bottle in The North Market during the Fiery Foods Weekend, while supplies last.

DorkLordDay 2012: "Sampled" while in line, no thanks to whomever. It did a great job of cleaning out my nose and nearly making me stop breathing. No complexity, no depth, just massive in your face heat. On sip was more than enough to know this is something you give to people you do not like much. Looked innocent enough and the aroma while almost all chilies but did note a dash of biscuity malt... well I can say I had it. oh the burn!

This is truly a sipping beer, at least for me. The heat is a little overwhelming if you drink too much too fast. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange and frothy off white head. The aroma is chilis and pepper. Thick mouthfeel with strong burn of chili peppers. Wrecked my palate and couldnt taste anything for half an hour. Why?

Sampled at DLD 2013. It poured a cloudy orange/amber color with almost no head. The aroma was of chili peppers and not much else. The taste was of liquid peppers with just too much heat. Not for me.

12 oz bottle shared with buds. I drank 9 oz of it. So this is what passes for the world’s hottest beer? Crap - just call me stupid for trading for this wimpy lager. Will use the rest of my bottles for chili base and marinate, as it is a dumb gimmick of a beer. Billy Chilis is twice a flavorful and at least as hot. Seems like someone forgot to add any actuals peppers to the final product. Poured a piss amber color with no head. Aroma is worthless, just some alcohol and pepper heat. No flavor, just a spicy, thin lager. Go get some Ghost Face Killah if you want a decently spicy brew. Fail.

honestly excited to try this- even with the heartburn i deal with everyday, i kind of like chilli beers, and with ghost face killa, i thought this wouldn’t be a problem .. . pours a deep gold .. good foam .. . warmth, heat, fire, oven cleaner, 400 degree frying pan, and chilli skin flavours .. . burns quite a bit, doesn’t burn further than the throat but a novelty at best, but like the experiment .. . . and he bulges the ole onion bag!!!!!!

Samplle from a bottle at DLD. Pours a cloudy orange amber color very little head. The nose is all chili peppers and heat with not much able to penetrate the heat. The flavor was liquid peppers; just too much heat. After the first taste I started to hiccup and it wouldn’t stop. Strangely after this experience I still want to try Ghost Face Killah.

12oz bottle, shared with friends. Sort of a dark orange color, hazy with lots of particles suspended inside. No lace. Poured the bottle into shot glasses at a small get-together. Sniffing it, it smells just like a terrible spicy-hot heat. Everyone was afraid to try it for a bit. First, we dipped a finger into the glass and licked our fingers... After a second or two, the spicy hot taste creeps up and explodes in your mouth, lingering with an impressive aftertaste, just from a mere lick. After getting some bread and peanut butter within arms reach, we tried it, with the tiniest sip possible. In the first half a second, there’s actually a nice nice initial lager taste, but from that point on, it’s all heat. A terrible, painful burn, with an aftertaste that lasts for about 10 minutes. We had to take our jackets off. I have no doubt that this is the spiciest beer in the world, because there is no reason at all for a beer to be this hot. If you are looking for heat... This is bound to satisfy. It’s just difficult to drink. Overall, of the 2 total teeny tiny sips I managed to take, it was quite an experience. Definitely a novelty. But amongst like 12 people, we only collectively finished an ounce, at most (probably less). The rest had to go down the drain, sadly. I’ve got one more bottle of this. If I don’t share it at an event (I’ll need maybe a hundred people to finish a bottle), I might try making a vat of chili with it, because it’s pretty undrinkable. We’re all kind of worried how this will affect us in the bathroom later.

Sampled at DLD. Thanks to whoever was passing this around. glad I got to try it. Damn it was hot, ruined my palate for a couple minutes. Only had the smallest sip. Surely no one would buy this and drink it. Might be good to add a few drop to tequila shots or something
