on tap-pours a white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is clove, sweet wheat. Taste is sweet banana, clove, sweet wheat. OK effervescence.

Banana and wheat aromas. Banana and bubble gum flavors. Pours yellow with a small white head. Overall a decent wheat.

Bottle at yellow brick pizza. It’s hard to get good hefe outside of Germany or Pennsylvania. Pours clear with no head to speak if. Faint hint of banana on the nose. A slight hint of clI’ve on the tongue. It’s pretty boring really.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into standard pint glass. Appears a clear yellow color with a hint of orange in the coloring. Head is average, white and sticks around for a good amount of time. Nose is full of wheat, lemon and some clove. Taste is similar but adds a banana flavor as well. Almost candy-like at first, but then becomes more bitter with some citrus coming through. The mouthfeel is light and fairly smooth. Overall, a good heiferweizen; not my favorite style but definitely enjoyable.

Bottle sample at the Elevator tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 11/11/10. Pours clear yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of banana, clove and sweet malt. Banana and clove flavor with a bit of malty sweetness before a dry, estery finish.

Bottled. Clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma of wheat and spices. Light sweetness, light body, slick feel, soft carbonation.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2011 On tap at the Oakroom in Athens, Ohio and at Elevator in downtown Columbus, and from bottle. Draft downtown is slightly better. It has medium to small head for the style and minimal lacing. It was served with a lemon on the side at brewpub. Nice clove and a little banana. Not especially sophisticated or complex, but a nice session beer. I feel that this beer is a little underrated by other raters.

Hazy yellow/ white head. Nice clove citrus banana aromas. light body. Tasty sweet clove, nutty banana bread flavors. good hefe.
