Bottle thanks to artmcd8. Poured ultra dark brown with decent beige head. Aromas of vanilla choco barrel booze. Very harsh whiskey that finishes with vanilla. Not very thick. Took a min to get use to.

12 oz bottle, $2.50, Kroger Bridge St. Very dark brown, translucent pour; light head dissipates into a tiny ring; very light lacing, if any. Aroma is very heavily oak and vanilla, some chocolate, licorice, noticeable alcohol. Flavor similar, with strong oak-booze and vanilla; tiny bit astringent in the finish; spicy wood in the aftertaste. Medium body approaching frothy. Iíve been largely unimpressed with Elevator, but for once this is a pretty interesting and mostly well done beer from them. I appreciate them oaking a 7% beer for once, so I donít always have to go to a 10%+ monster imperial stout for a beer with the flavors of whiskey.

Bottle: Thanks, Colin! Dark-ish brown color with almost no head formation; only a small, gray-tinted ring of bubbles hanging around the edges. Aroma is relatively heavy with deep, sweet dark fruits with a cocoa-like sweetness & light brown sugar. Raisins, black licorice, anise, mild whiskey & wood aromas. Hint of sharp apple skins & red grape in the rear. Taste is surprisingly whiskey-forward... Unexpected from the nose. Mildly tart apple skin astringency... Possible infection? Overwhelming whiskey soaked wood notes. Boozy, woody, musky, light notes of roast. Mild cocoa powder & cola finish but still a whiskey & oak bomb. I could pass on this one next time.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2014 Black color with medium tan head and no lacing. Aroma and flavor have great cocoa malts with a sweet woody accents. Nice bourbon notes make it very flavorful. Pretty good overall.

12oz bottle - Whisky is wafting over to my nose like when youíre having a conversation with someone really drunk. Nose is woody up close like cherry wood or some sweet wood. pretty sweet for a porter. Malty and yup vanilla. My first elevator beer and Iím impressed. A little smoky in the finish. Finally something with a goat on the label and itís a blablabl-ator. Smooth and easy to drink.

Caramel and vanilla flavors, up front, with the Bourbon and oak elements integrating in the middle; nicely balanced in the finish

Bottle thanks to JStax. Pours black with very little head. Aroma is faint, light vanilla, whiskey, and roast. Same with the taste. It doesnít taste bad itís just a bit bland. Like a really watered down whiskey with a litle vanilla.

12oz bottle from Lizardville RR, lots of vanilla flavors in the beer, and a good first BA beer from Elevator (that Iíve tried) kind of a weird name, some very minor roasty flavors its really a sweeter beer than I was expecting.

Deep cola colored beer with a very short lived khaki head that disappeared completely. Nice whiskey nose. Sweet beer with lots of caramel, roasted grain and a big dose of whiskey. Some oak, vanilla, and warming alcohol. It seems a little thin, but tasty.

Pours a deep umber color with a finger or two of khaki bubbles. On the nose is sweet booze, caramel, brownie and whiskey. The palate follows with a hot alcohol kick and a sweet slightly sticky backdrop, little buttered popcorn, burnt plums and did I mention booze ! Nothing special but not a horrible dessert shared with the wife who likes whiskey more than beer so she was happy with it. Thanks Jstax.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a brandy snifter. Aroma has grain alcohol and rich whiskey. The alcohol is too prominent to be pleasant. In the taste I get that rough alcohol again with some fruity sweetness. Some vanilla comes through as well. As the beer warms, some of that alcohol presence fades making the beer much more enjoyable.
